Cook condensed milk

Method №1

The condensed milk jar from the manufacturer should be lowered into a pan with water, the tin should be in an upright position and the water should be completely covered. Set the pan on the stove, set the fire on, and, once the water boils, lower it. Brew condensed milk for two to three hours, but no more, otherwise the bank will explode. From time to time, add boiling water to the pan: the pot should always be under water.

After the time has elapsed, turn off the hotplate, but before removing the jar from the water, allow it to cool. Do not rush the process, pouring in cool water, be patient. If you do not want to spend so much time on boiling condensed milk, use a pressure cooker. The whole procedure will take about ten minutes, the actions are the same, but the boiled condensed milk should still cool down without your help.

Method number 2

There are people who think that boiled in a closed jar of condensed milk can harm the body. In addition, her taste qualities are not particularly pleasant. In this situation, and also if you have purchased loose or packaged evaporated milk, cook it in a glass container( jar).

To this end, move the condensed milk to the selected jar and lower it into a saucepan. Pour water into the pan above the level of condensed milk.(Important!) It is desirable to place a metal grill or a ring under the jar. Otherwise, the condensed milk will be unevenly warmed up. To the bank, loosely cover with a large lid, so that the glass container does not burst. After the water in the saucepan on the fire boils, reduce the gas and cook the condensed milk for about three to four hours. Do not forget to add boiling water to the pot from time to time, but you do not need to mix the condensed milk. Otherwise, the product will curtail.

There is a faster version of this method - the preparation of condensed milk in a microwave oven. To do this, pour condensed milk into a ceramic pot or deep dish and cook it for about 15 minutes, the power is average. If the condensed milk has to be stirred from time to time, then in the case of a pot this is not required.

Method №3

Take a cast-iron or steel thick-walled pan and pour into it the condensed milk you bought. Put on the fire, and from time to time stirring, bring it to a boil. Cook on low heat, not forgetting to stir until the product has acquired the necessary consistency.

Method # 4

Pour into the container for condensed milk, it can be a pot or saucepan, half a liter of plain milk, put in the sugar( 600 g) and powdered milk( 300 g), mix everything thoroughly. Place the container with condensed milk in a saucepan filled with water. Brew will take a long time, until the condensed milk becomes thick enough. Warning: the product should not boil!

The result, whatever method you choose, can be either successful or not, and the reasons for this can be very different. True, there are 2 main ones among them: you originally purchased a low-quality product or simply did not get condensed milk. In the first case, attention should be paid to the composition of the condensed milk. A good product contains only milk and sugar. All other impurities will only interfere with its good condensation. The fat content of quality condensed milk should be at least 8-8.5%.In the second case, it may be advisable to cook the product for at least two hours. Adjust the process, parameters such as color and density, at a certain stage are very indicative. During cooking, the condensed milk becomes darker, obtaining a pleasant brownish tint.
